Backups are snapshots created by scheduling. Backups are available on the VM details page, and the Backup page which can be accessed from the Backup menu.
To create a Backup of VM details:
- Click the VM name in the VM list to view its details
- Click the Backup tab
- In the Backup section, click the Create button if you don’t have a snapshot or the + button if you already have a snapshot
- A form page will appear to select the VM and input the time period for creating the snapshot
- Fill in the backup period
- Fill in the backup time
- Fill in the snapshot deletion time (maximum 31)
- If you want to immediately create a snapshot, click on the Create snapshot immediately section
- Click the Create button
To create a backup from the Backup page:
- Click the Compute >> Backups menu
- Click the Create button at the top right of the page
- A form page will appear to select the VM and input the time period for creating the snapshot
- Select the VM you want to backup
- Fill in the backup period
- Fill in the backup time
- Fill in the snapshot deletion time (maximum 31)
- If you want to immediately create a snapshot, click on the Create snapshot immediately section
- Click the Create button
To change the backup period, you can do it via the VM details or on the backup page in the following way:
- Select the backup you want to update
- Click the action option (three dots)
- Click Update
- Change the data on the form as desired
- Click the Update button
To delete a backup, you can do it via the VM details or on the backup page in the following way:
- Select the backup you want to delete
- Click the action option (three dots)
- Click Delete
- A pop up will appear to confirm. Follow the instructions in the pop up if you are sure to delete
